83 мільйона населення + гарна заробітна плата = туристи по усьому світі.
+ молодь (work&travel) + студенти (обмін) що їдуть за вдосконаленням англійської та за екзотикою...
10 літаків Б747 це приблизно 4 тис пасажирів - не так то й багато на 83 мільйона населення.

Влада вирішила намацати реакцію люмпенів на те, що кордони і аеропорти будуть закритими до кінця червня. Подивимось, як туроператори будуть пояснювати своїм клієнтам таку ситуацію і чи таке проковтнеться. Особливо, якщо в Європі відновляться польоти.

Український Ан-225 "Мрія" доставить у Польщу 400 тонн медичних засобів та обладнання для боротьби з епідемією коронавірусу.
Як пише "Європейська правда", про це повідомило Міністерство державних активів Польщі.
"Мрія" має прибути до Варшави 14 квітня. Літак доставить у Польщу з Китаю 7 мільйонів масок та кілька сотень тисяч захисних костюмів.
Це буде третій в історії політ Ан-225 до Польщі.
Яку загалом кількість рейсів здійснить "Мрія" для доставки вантажу - не повідомляється. Максимальне комерційне навантаження літака Ан-225 - 250 тонн, тож доставити усе за один рейс - неможливо.

Сегодня Ухань «открыли»: людям вновь разрешено въезжать в город и покидать его, открыт аэропорт, железнодорожные и автобусные станции.
Что касается авиасообщения, на данный момент возобновлены некоторые внутренние рейсы. В первый день запланировано всего около 200 рейсов.
Самым первым рейсом из Уханя после открытия аэропорта стал MU2527 на Хайнань, а первым прилетевшим в Ухань рейсом стал MF8095 из Ханьчжоу.
С 2 мая планируется выполнять уже по 286 рейсов из Уханя в 17 городов Китая.
Что касается авиасообщения, на данный момент возобновлены некоторые внутренние рейсы. В первый день запланировано всего около 200 рейсов.

And despite the fact that an end to the crisis remains uncertain both in Austria and around the world, we are now focussing our energy on “restarting our engines”, and standing by until a gradual new start becomes possible. Unfortunately, exactly when we will be able to restart regular flight operations depends more on external conditions than on ourselves.
Global travel restrictions appear set to remain in place for the foreseeable future, or possibly even be extended. For that reason, we have decided to put back the “new start”, originally scheduled for 19 April, to 3 May 2020.
Expansion of rebooking options and waiver policy
We’re giving you time to reconsider your options. You may wish to travel at a later date now, for instance, or think a different destination might be more suitable. Please take advantage of the fact that you don’t need to reach a decision on this right away. Instead, reassess your travel needs once the situation has calmed down again. As well as this, we’re offering you extended, flexible rebooking options once again.
Flight tickets can be suspended up to 31 August; for those rebooking up to 31 December 2020, an extra EUR 50 in ticket value
Tickets with a travel date up to 30 April 2021, which were or are booked up to 19 April 2020, can be suspended. This means you have until 31 August 2020 to rebook to a new travel date (start of the new journey up to 30 April 2021), or to another destination. If you rebook onto a flight by 31 December 2020, then you will receive an extra EUR 50 in ticket value.
If the rebooked fare is more expensive due to a change of destination (rebooking from short- to long-haul), a change of travel class or similar, then a surcharge may be necessary despite the discount.

Take the pressure off hotlines – a way for you to make an active contribution
We completely understand why you wish to gain some clarity about the status of your booked or cancelled flight as quickly as possible. Employees at our Service Centers are doing their best to assist you quickly and unbureaucratically.
Please be patient with your request, however, if your departure is not due to take place in the next few days. Also, please bear in mind where you booked your ticket. If you purchased your ticket from a travel agency, please go to your contact person at the respective organisation.

All fares and ticket prices are rebookable with immediate effect – including the Light Fare without Hand Luggage, for example. Earlier this week, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office told Brits to postpone all foreign travel "indefinitely" as the coronavirus outbreak continues.
Jet2 and TUI responded to the latest advice with Jet2 saying they would be restarting flights on June 17.
TUI announced holidays up to and including May 14 and Marella Cruise holidays up to and including May 31 will no longer operate

Суттєве падіння авіаційного трафіку у світі, зумовлене пандемією COVID-19, призвело до зниження точності прогнозування погоди по всьому світу.

Справа в тім, що велику кількість інформації, на основі якої метеорологи складають прогнози, збирають комерційні пасажирські й транспортні літаки. Під час польоту вони постійно фіксують швидкість вітру, температуру повітря та інші дані, які є критично важливими для точного прогнозування погоди. Чинні обмеження на пересування, запроваджені багатьма країнами через пандемію COVID-19, знизили авіаційний трафік та позбавили науковців важливого джерела даних.
За словами Тілера Гамільтона, метеоролога Weather Network, інші технології частково допомагають заповнити нестачу інформації з літаків, але не спроможні повністю її замінити.
