SAS returns on Copenhagen-Bangkok route after 9-year pause

SAS Scandinavian Airlines will renew flights from Copenhagen to Bangkok after the 9-year pause. With the new service, SAS aims to accommodate an increased demand for leisure travel.

The first departure is planned from Copenhagen on October 30. According to the published timetable, SAS will operate the new route 3 times weekly with overnight flights in both directions.

The airline will deploy a wide-body Airbus A350 in a 300-seat configuration with business class, SAS Plus and SAS Go cabins.

Passengers now can book tickets from 975 EUR for a round trip in November 2023 in the SAS Go cabin. The cheapest tickets include only 8 kg of hand luggage.

“The Bangkok route will offer a perfect entry point for wider Thailand and be a great option for both business and leisure travelers”, says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS.

Copenhagen-Bangkok will be a winter seasonal route. It means SAS will fly on the route till the end of March 2024.

Bangkok will become the third Asian city in the SAS network. Now the airline flies from Copenhagen to Tokyo Haneda and Shanghai and operates these routes the whole year.
